The DYNALIFE Training School - Argentina 2026 "Minimal Replicators in Extreme Environments: The Search for the First Universal Common Ancestor" took place between 22 February and 11 March 2026 across several locations in Argentina. It combined field sampling campaigns in extreme environments with a final theoretical and training component hosted at the Museo de Ciencias Naturales de La Plata.

The programme was structured in three main phases:

(i) a first sampling campaign in the high-altitude lagoons of the Catamarca Puna (22–27 February),

(ii) a second campaign in the acidic and geothermal environments of the Copahue volcanic system and Río Agrio, and the geothermal environments of the Domuyo volcan (Neuquén Province) (2–7 March),

(iii) a theoretical and integrative school in La Plata (9–11 March).
