The DYNALIFE COST Action General Conference, held in Salerno, marks the fourth and final year of the
Action, representing both a scientific and strategic closing event for the network. The meeting will bring
together researchers involved in DYNALIFE to present, consolidate, and critically assess the most
relevant results achieved throughout the Action, and to define the foundations for future collaborative
initiatives.
A distinctive feature of this conference is its explicit orientation toward synthesis and continuity. Rather
than following a conventional sequence of presentations, the program is designed to promote
discussion, exchange, and strategic reflection. Particular emphasis will be placed on identifying the
results that most strongly contribute to the development of a quantitative and theoretical framework for
biology, and on transforming them into concrete proposals for future European initiatives.
Key questions include:
-
what results constitute the strongest foundations of the DYNALIFE program?
-
which scientific directions are ready for consolidation and expansion?
-
how to structure coherent and competitive proposals for upcoming European funding opportunities?
The event contributes to the main goals of the Action by supporting the integration of theoretical models, promoting collaborations in the modelling of genetic information, testing theoretical approaches with complex biological data, advancing training in theoretical and computational biology, enhancing dissemination of results, and developing future initiatives beyond the lifetime of the Action.
